Selesa Inn/ Restaurant Lotus
Heavy rain in certain part of Klang valley causing massive traffic jam at NKVE. Meeting attended by Hj.Razali, Mohd Shah and P.Roslan.
MShah hilite to President many members are not getting RI magazines and District newsletters. As dues being paid members are entitled to get these items. Sulaiman club being proposed as future venue for meeting as it is more strategic.

RCKB WEEKLY MEETING 02/2009 14th.Jan2009
We are entering 2nd meeting for the new year. Meeting was attended by P.Roslan, R.Dr.Feardaus, PP Ruzman, R.Helmy and PP Shah.
Good discussion on how to proceed for the rest of the year. Priority is to induct new member and strengthened the club.

RCKB WEETING 01/2009
RCKB held its first weekly neeting for year 2009 at Selesa Cafe restaurant on Wednesday 7th. January 2009. The meeting was attended by President Roslan, PP Shah and Rotarian Helmy.
P. Roslan reported District assembly was held at Ipoh, RCKB was represented by CP Hj. Razali and PE Dr. Feardaus.
PP Shah informed RI dues and District dues for Jul-Dec 08 period had been paid.

Meeting telah diadakan diLotus Restaurant bersebelahan Selesa Inn. Seperti miggu sebelumnya perbincangan sekitar projek jangka pendek menjelang bulan puasa. BODs meeting terpaksa ditangguhkan keminggu hadapan kerana tiada korum. Minggu hadapan juga ada guest speaker Dr. Alwi yang dijemput oleh PP Ruzman.
President juga mencadangkan projek Riang Ria bersama anak yatim diteruskan pada tahun ini jika beliau dapat mencari penaja. Jika ini berjaya projek berbuka puasa boleh dijadikan program get together bagi RCKB family member.

The ABC of Rotary.

RI World Headquarters.
Chicago, Illinois, USA.
By 1987 moved to its own 18 story building in Evanston. It has 190- seat auditorium, 300 seat cafeteria and office space for 500 employees of the Worlds Headquarters. It is also known as One Rotary Center.

Room 711 – Rotary’s birthplace.
Initially located at Unity Building, 127 North Dearborn Street, where Paul Harris had first meeting which led to the birth of Rotary movement. In 1994 Room 711 was re-created at RI World Headquarters. Paul Harris 711 Club was formed to provide funds for leasing, maintenance and preservation of this miniature museum which has become popular stop over for Rotarians all over the world.

Nonattendance Rules.
Three conditions which may cause Rotarian’s membership be automatically terminated are;
1..Failure to attend or make up four consecutive club meetings.
2..Failure to attend or make up 60% of club meetings each six months.
3..Failure to attend at least 30% of the meeting of own club in each six month period.
Under any of these three cases, a member will lose Rotary membership unless the club Board of Directors has been previously consented to excuse such failure for good and sufficient reason.
When a member misses four consecutive regular meetings, the board will inform him or her that nonattendance may be considered a request to terminate his or her membership.
These rules may seem unusually rigid, however, being present at a club meetings is one of the basic obligations a member accepts upon joining a rotary Club. Rotary is a participatory organization that highly values regular attendance. When a member is absence the entire club loses the personal association with that member. So being present at a club meeting is considered a vital part of the operation and success of every Rotary Club.

A Wonderful Story.
A woman came out of her house and saw three old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat." " Is the man of the house home? ", they asked. "No", she replied. "He's out." "Then we cannot come in", they replied.
In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. "Go tell them I am home and invite them in!" The woman went out and invited the men in "We do not go into a House together," they replied. "Why is that?" she asked. One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."
The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!" His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"
Their daughter was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!" "Let us heed our daughter's advice," said the husband to his wife. "Go out and invite Love to be our guest." The woman went out and asked the three old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest." Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other two also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?" The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!!"
